The Davey Steriflo UV Disinfection System provides an effective and economical solution for eliminating harmful bacteria from drinking water. It can also be used for small-scale wastewater disinfection at reduced flow rates—all without chemicals, off-tastes, or the risk of overdosing.
Contamination from bird and animal droppings can introduce viruses, bacteria, and parasitic cysts into your roof water supply. Steriflo systems use ultraviolet light at 254 nanometers to inactivate these microorganisms by damaging their DNA. Once inactivated, these organisms cannot reproduce, preventing infection in humans.
